What we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect your information.
Effective date: October 3, 2026 · Pylvos LLC
Pylvos is built around a simple principle: your shop's data is yours. Pylvos runs on your own hardware and your jobs, parts, and employee records never leave your building. This policy explains the limited information we do collect and why.
Email address and shop name. When you request a free Pylvos key, you provide your email address and shop name; we use them to send you your key and to upgrade that same key if you later subscribe. When you start a free trial or purchase a subscription, you provide your email address. We use this to create your Stripe billing account, send your receipt, and identify you if you contact support.
Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number, expiration date, or CVV. Stripe's privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy.
License check-in data. Pylvos periodically contacts our license server to verify your license and which plan it is on. Each check-in sends your license key, the IP address of the machine running Pylvos, the software version installed, and your shop name. We log this to detect abuse and enforce license terms. We do not log or store the contents of your jobs, parts, or any other shop data — that information never reaches our servers.
Website analytics and advertising. pylvos.com uses the Google tag (Google Ads) to measure how our advertising performs and to count sign-ups. When you visit our website, the tag loads a script from Google and Google may receive your IP address, the pages you view, your browser and device information, and whether you reach our sign-up confirmation page. We use this only to measure and improve our advertising. Standard server access logs (IP address, page requested, timestamp) are also kept for a short period for security and diagnostic purposes and are not shared.
Cookies. The Google tag on pylvos.com sets cookies (and may use similar browser storage) so Google can measure advertising and conversions. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or manage Google's ad settings at adssettings.google.com; the website works normally either way. The Pylvos software itself does not use these cookies. Our demo video is loaded from YouTube only if you press play, as described in section 3. When you click "Start Free Trial" or "Continue to Billing Portal," you are redirected to Stripe's own website to complete checkout or manage billing. At that point you are on stripe.com, not pylvos.com, and Stripe may set cookies under their own domain as described in Stripe's privacy policy.
Visitors in Europe. For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the Google tag runs with advertising cookies turned off: it does not set or read advertising cookies, and Google receives only basic signals without cookies, which are not used to personalize ads.
Do Not Track and tracking across websites. Some browsers can send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no common standard for responding to it, and pylvos.com does not change how it works when it receives one. Through the Google tag, Google may collect information about your online activity over time and across other websites. Other than Google (including YouTube, once you play our video), no third party collects information about your activity on pylvos.com. You can limit this by blocking cookies in your browser or through Google's ad settings, as described above.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not send marketing emails beyond transactional billing notices. We do not share your information with third parties except as described in this policy.
Stripe processes all payments and manages your billing portal. When you click "Start Free Trial" or access the billing portal, you are interacting with Stripe's systems, governed by their privacy policy and terms.
Google provides the Google tag we use on pylvos.com to measure our advertising, as described in the sections above. Google's handling of that data is governed by its privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
YouTube (a Google service) hosts our demo video. Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you press play on the video, and it then plays in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode. YouTube may collect data and set cookies once you play it, as described in Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy. The video's cover image is hosted on our own website.
Other than Stripe, Google, and YouTube, we have no third-party integrations on pylvos.com or in the Pylvos software.
Pylvos runs as a local Windows service on your hardware. All jobs, parts, customers, material certs, and documents are stored in a local database on your machine. This data does not sync to our servers, does not pass through our systems, and is not accessible to us. You are solely responsible for backing up this data.
We retain your email address and billing records for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward as required for tax and legal purposes. License check-in logs are retained for as long as needed to detect abuse and enforce license terms. If you cancel your subscription and request deletion of your account data, email us at sales@pylvos.com and we will delete what we hold within 30 days.
Our license server communicates over HTTPS. Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe, which is PCI-DSS certified. We do not store payment card information on our servers under any circumstances.
Pylvos is a business-to-business product intended for use by adults in a commercial setting. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 18.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of Pylvos after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
